Also in the race is Mr Deji Laurent, who crossed from PDP to APC, an ex-officer in the Nigerian Immigration Service, from where he later joined Ben Bruce entertainment business empire, as the Chief Security Officer for the chain of businesses,

He is presently the Chief Executive officer of Kabula Ltd, an entertainment and event planning outfit and some other business interests.

He has contributed a lot to the well being of the party since he pitched his tent with the party some couple of years back. He is very much on ground and his grassroot popularity amongst the youth and though boys in the locality, that which could not be contested,he is also one of the loyalists of Mr. Wale Edun.

Aspirants

Prince Adesanya Omoloja, a former PDP stalwart who also is aspiring from the caucus  of Mr Edun, is very much on ground and is so serious about the aspirations

A gentleman that could spring a surprise is one Mr John Ganiu Omotola Oluwakemi Soares, who have been rooting the nooks and crannies of the LCDA and also have organized programmes to  sensitize people of his ambition.

While studying in London, Soares worked in the Nigerian House, as an Assistant International Trade Officer, that gave him the privilege  to know about international business operations. He was also saddled with the responsibility, as a Community Advocate on bail and welfare of Nigerians who were stranded in various British Prisons. Others whom we are not able to reach are also running in the LCDA.

Aspirant

Also from the Edun's caucus is Hon. Morufu Akindele, another one time leader of the LCDA Legislative arm and presently a middle class officer in the Lagos State civil service, who have been working hard to secure the ticket and have been dotting the "I"s and crossing the "T"s to be able to achieve his goal, also from the stable of Edun.

In a similar vein, Hon.Nurudeen Olokowo, a former captain of Lafiaji Fanti Association, is also a major contender to the coveted council seat. He is believed to be sponsored by a prominent APC stalwart operating at the national level and also from the obalende community. He also commands a significant followership in the LCDA.

A Prince of Lagos, grandson of late Sheikh Hamza Oshinlokun, who was a leading aspirant for the same office some ten years ago, but which the power that was prevented from getting the ticket, Prince Moshood Masha, is also vying for the ticket and this time around he had doubled his efforts towards getting the ticket.

Meanwhile, the people of Obalende have been clamoring for the ticket to be given to any of the aspirants from that axis of the LCDA, as according to them, equity demands that, the occupation of that office should go round all parts of the LCDA and should not be for one side alone.

The source also hinted that, the believers in the leadership of Edun, have agreed that, Obalende should have the ticket, which presupposes that one of those coming from that axis shall be nominated from that end, for the party primary.
